I became a huge fan of his after watching a few videos of him.

He is an utterly fearless man. I envy him. He is likely that way simply because he has the facts in his hands and can employ them.

I watched that famous interview with a hostile feminist reporter Cathy Newman (who Peterson knew full well was hostile) who was playing the game of not appearing hostile while she was trying to back him into an intellectual corner.

It was a battle of wits, and she was unarmed.

He knew precisely what she was trying to do, and he demolished her, without being nasty, without invective, without facial expressions, he simply walked towards the corner she was going to corner him in, letting her take him that way, and at the last second, stepped aside in a gentlemanly fashion, verbally holding the door for her, and holding her arm as she stepped over the threshold, where she turned around and realized she was trapped.

He had a gentle smile on his face as the look on her face betrayed the fact that she suddenly realized what he had done.

He let her hoist herself on her own petard.

She was speechless, and stopped talking. Her eyes fluttered, and her mouth twitched as the cogs turned in her head, and the whole time, his manner and expression did not change. He simply let her process her predicament (her predicament what guys crudely but accurately call ‘stepping on their own dick’) and then she stopped. She closed her eyes, her mouth opened and closed like a landed fish, but...the saving dialog that did not and never would exist completely evaded her lips.

He did not change expression, but he let her process as she marinated in her position.

Then, she smiled, eyes still closed, head bobbing, and a little hint of a desperate chuckle came out of her, and his smile became just a bit more pronounced as she flailed in quiet desperation, and when she surrendered, she looked up and there was a gentlemanly “gotcha” and she could only nod her head in helpless agreement. He was very gentlemanly and let her come to earth of her own accord.

I thought that whole thing was completely remarkable.
