Those amendments [16th and 17th] are part of the Constitution as much as the 1st or the 2nd are. If you dont like them, seek a constitutional convention or a repeal amendment.

No, the income tax is repugnant to the Constitution and just like the 18th Amendment (banning the manufacture or sale of alcohol in the United States), it's invalid.
