The don't seem to settle this. There was a big UFO flap in the 50’s that shut down Dulles airport . 50 ufos were spotted. This was all in the news then. As a kid I remember local news with ufo spotted at 10,000 feet hovering for hours. Politics regurgatated.

There was a big UFO flap in the 50’s that shut down Dulles airport.. I am sure you meant National Airport. Dulles did not open until 1962. BTW, I am old enough remember both events.
