Are gay ‘conversion camps’ really still a thing? I’ve only actually seen people talking about them or fictional horror versions of them in movies and tv shows. Seems like the institutional equivalent of the boogeyman or chupacabra.
I remember an episode of South Park where Butters’ Dad thinks he’s gay so he send him to a “conversion therapy” Camp and from there on the running “Joke” is that kids there are committing suicide.
