The USA used the Excalibur munitions in Afghanistan.
They work very well. They are very effective on targets such as tanks, self propelled artillery, and towed artillery.
I found the Russian videos of self propelled artillery, digging into positions, to be indicative of digging their own graves.
Very difficult to hide that from satellite surveillance and/or drones. You have to keep moving and hiding to survive in this war.
The M777 artillery is pretty good to shoot and scoot.
Fixed positions are death traps when the opposition is armed with smart munitions.
Acknowledged - you can see the laser ring gyro aiming system on its mount above the tube. Doesn't make their procedure for seating the trails any better. Their commander should have made them dig them in themselves.
