The only Republican candidate
Marcos Arroyo, a housing inspector from West New York, has won the backing of the Hudson County Republican organization to run for the open congressional seat in New Jersey’s 8th district.
“We need a Congressman who will fight inflation, bring back energy independence and educational choice, and help make our constituents lives better,” stated Arroyo.
The retirement of Rep. Albio Sires (D-West New York ) creates the first open House seat in Hudson County since 2006. The front runner for the Democratic nomination is Robert J. Menendez, a Port Authority commissioner and the son of Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez.
Arroyo worked on relief efforts after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2011 and following Hurricanes Sandy and Maria. He also volunteers in a training program that has helped immigrants become U.S. citizens.
Will he get anointed the next Senator when his father shuffles off?
Neato. Does he fly to the Dominican Republic to have sex with barely-teen girls like dad ? Figure they get a 2-for-1 deal.
My gosh...Democrats family business: Politics. Get a congressional district, keep it in the Family.
