Now comes Washington state Initiative 1922 which removes all penalties for all drug possession in personal use amounts, including fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin. Hopefully they won't get enough signatures to put Int. 1922 on the ballot but it is WA state so I don't hold much hope. Article on Int. 1922:
Placing addicts in prison with violent criminals and giving them a record does not help them return to a healthy life. Drug abuse should be treated like all other forms of self harm. A psychological issue that requires medical treatment.
Selling dangerous drugs like fentanyl to addicts should be considered up there with murder though. Immediate death penalty upon verified video evidence...
