I watched it last night. This review pretty well sums it up. I enjoyed it. Acting was good. This was better than the 1956 version.

I remember in the 1956 version a German spy with an Irish accent, played by Stephen Boyd (Messala in the movie Ben Hur) turned up at the fictional girlfriend’s apartment to offer his sympathy for her loss in order to check out whether the body’s identity was genuine. The girlfriend’s acting ability became the hinge upon which the whole plot turned. If she was convincing, the Germans would buy it and the English would know they had. I wonder if the new movie has the same scene?

I caught it the other night. It was a fine production. I never cease to be amazed at the British gift for counterintelligence.
