ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) -- Amid the violence in Madison, organized abortion protesters in the Green Bay area continue their picket of Planned Parenthood along Oneida Street in Ashwaubenon.
Both those with signs and the Planned Parenthood office have been catching more attention since the leaked draft opinion.
During the 32 hours per week, the Ashwaubenon Planned Parenthood office is open, 40 Days for Life anti-abortion walkers are there.
40 Days for Life organizer, Kathy Cain says they want to show people that there's help available outside of abortion.
“We have care resource cards where we have listed all of the resources available to women if they’re faced with an unplanned pregnancy but we also on the back we have post-abortive healing," said Cain.
But 40 Days for Life isn’t just in front of Planned Parenthood amid the leaked draft opinion by the Supreme Court, they’ve been coming to this stretch of Oneida Street for almost 10 years.
“Sometimes it's good honks, some angry honks, a lot of angry shouts," said Cain.
But since the SCOTUS news, things have gotten more aggressive.
“We’ve had eggs thrown at us, we’ve had water bottles thrown at us, we’ve had gel guns shot at us," said Cain.
The recent violence against Wisconsin Family Action is raising concern.
Both 40 Days for Life and Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin says there is no excuse for what happened.
“We condemn all incidents of violence and hate and we hope that people can respect each other opinion and move away from any incidents of violence," said Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin spokesperson Lisa Boyce.
There are 22 Health Centers across Wisconsin, three of them in Milwaukee, Madison, and Sheboygan perform abortions.
