Our Institutions presuppose a Creator. In the Judeo-Christian realm, that means that being made in the Image of God that there are certain things we do not have a “right” to do to ourselves. Rights are given so that we may do what is good. It is good for the state to be as involved as little as possible, so that we may do good freely. But the mere ability to mutilate yourself is not a “right” to mutilate yourself.
And no true “doctor” would participate to precipitate such a disordered act.
