I’m about 75% with the article, but I suspect that a real problem is being amplified by something like confirmation bias, leading to increased reporting.

I would guess that this accounts for 5-30% of the increase, but that is something that is merely an educated guess that I would place no money on. I’d love to see somebody give a better estimate of the weight, but that is the sort of thing that is very hard to factor out.

I dunno about that.. Ignoring the "vaccine" and the whole ChinaVirus freakout in general, if a young/middle age athlete died, it was usually newsworthy enough to be noticed. Dying is something younger folks don't normally do much of, especially ones in good enough shape to be paid to play games. I would guess the 29/year deaths is pretty close to the actual number.

But even if you double that, it's still 10x less than the current rate of athlete deaths...
