It wasn't the glorious victory parade they expected and hoped for. It was a very subdued, somber and scaled down version. No foreign leaders, an uninspiring speech from Putin, no fighter jet flyovers. They cancelled flyovers not just over Moscow, but at parades all over Russia, citing "adverse weather". But the weather was fairly mild, mostly sunny with winds around 5 mph. Must have been some intel of a threat...
Putin's speech was little more than blaming the west and trying to convince the Russian people that he is the good guy for invading Ukraine.
