I made a fake ID out of my mother’s old/expired driver’s license in Tennessee in the mid 70’s. The ID’s didn’t have pictures and were just light green cards with info typed in the form fields. With a little precision erasing and a similar typewriter you could modify the text pretty easily. We had two typewriters in the house, my mother’s and my sister’s and my mother’s matched almost exactly.

I used that thing for quite a while, as I went through the times when at first the drinking age was 18, then a few months later changed to 18 for beer and 21 for liquor and then a few moths later 19 for both and then a few months later 21 for both.

Don’t you just hate politicians!

We’d take a piece of Scotch tape and pull the ink off the desired numbers from a phone book, cut it to size using a razor and paste over the driver’s license date. Worked 90% of the time.
