“I hate gas powered lawn dodads for all those reasons. Have only battery powered weedwackers, edgers, hedge clippers, leaf blowers. Have all the same manufacturer so can use common batteries. Would love for the riding mower to join the club but am not paying double.”

My mower is obviously gasoline powered.
While all my other lawn and trimming machines are electric via extension cords. I have one battery operated weed wacker that is too under powered.

Electric motor power is basically a function of the voltage, all other things being equal. So a 20 volt wacker will have half the power of a 40 volt one. They do make 60 volt ones, but the batteries are expensive, 3 times the number of cells in the pack unless they go for less amp hours, but that reduces your runtime.
