When you think about all of the people that have been killed in wars and how much love, talent, intelligence and bravery has been vaporized, it is beyond heartbreaking.

Yep. One would think that the two wholesale slaughters of the twentieth century would have taught us something. I think about that when I walk past my little town’s Vietnam Memorial, and read the stories of the seven young men — nineteen or twenty years old—who didn’t come home.
Intelligence and bravery are of negative value in the general population as far as governments are concerned. They prefer stupid and cowardly as the prefered traits in the perfect citizen.

True, but on the flipside, I think about our sovereignty, freedoms, constitution etc, and am grateful to those who fight to preserve them for us agaisnt those who would take them from us since evil reigns in the world for now.
