Gov. Kristi Noem is taking a more active role in this year’s primary election season, including trading barbs with incumbent lawmakers not in lock-step with her wing of the South Dakota GOP.
And that has some of her fellow Republicans accusing her and her allies of trying to rid the Legislature of its most conservative members.
And though Noem won’t say specifically which moderate state lawmakers she’s putting her political weight behind, it’s known that Noem is working in tandem with a high-ranking Senator who’s investing thousands in campaign funds to unseat conservative members of the party seeking re-election.

She gave it away when she REFUSED to protect girls’ sports last year - so no surprise that she’s going after the MAGA legislators.

If so, they’re not doing very well. She has to at least fake being a conservative until winning the Primaries, but she keeps stepping on rakes.
They’ll give her 4 years of training and then try again, as she’ll still have most of her looks then (which was the only reason she got as far as she did now).
Boy, I sure caught grief the other day for calling her out.
She didn’t back down, she didn’t like the legislation and has since signed a ban back in February.
Trump isn’t perfect, not by a long shot as can be seen in his backing of Oz.. the PA liberal POS. He may be a friend but he’s a POS liberal.
Always wondered about Noem ever since I saw a picture of her joking around with disgraced “Repub” gayboy Aaron Schock when they were in DC. She must’ve know he was a closeted gayboy and was involved in extremely questionable activities.

The Gateway Pundit people didn’t do their homework on this one. A call or two to some of the legislators named as “targeted” by Noem would have clarified things. Carl Perry, one of the two reps in my district, supposedly “targeted” has endorsed Noem. While a more corporate-Republican type candidate has entered the race and may take out either Perry or Weiss (who campaign along with Senator Novstrop as a team in our district), I doubt very much that Noem had anything to do with his entry into the race. Senator Novstrop, certainly a true conservative, has also endorsed Noem and works quite effectively with her.
The most important split among the Republicans right now is the dispute over the impeachment of out attorney general, with Noem in support and the speaker of the house trying to stop the impeachment.
I know many Freepers were unhappy with Noem’s veto of a bill on the transgender issue, and that, ever since then, they’re pretty quick to look for reasons to dislike Noem. The truth is that the bill was really badly written, an open invitation to costly law suits. Noem asked for very reasonable modifications to the bill and didn’t get them.
Ms Styles & Revisions bailed on the legislation that would have protected girls sports. She capitulated to Woke Corporatism. She’s a tool.
This is NOT surprising look at ALL of the tea party peoples or we sent to DC LYIN RYAN being one of them and look at what we ended up with, the damn middle finger from every stinking one of them!!! Our side sucks!!!
She’s been a major effing disappointment similar to Nicki Haley.
