Cops do not like that. I think I got a few more miles per hour on a speeding ticket because I asked him why he wasn't chasing crack dealers.
ha!!!
I once said “ you’re in Woodbridge Virginia, you sure you can’t find someone committing a real crime?”
PoPo no likey.
That’s interesting.
I got a ticket for “left lane camping” because the cop decided to camp too close to my rear bumper for me to change lanes safely.
I was passing him because he was seriously dawdling about accelerating out of a work zone. The moment I got parallel with him, he accelerated HARD, then stayed there.
As soon as he did that, I knew there was no way I was NOT getting a ticket.
If I changed lanes, he’d have me for cutting him off.
If I accelerated to get far enough ahead for a safe lane change, he would have me for speeding.
If I slowed down to get behind him, I was impeding traffic.
And they wonder why the public is less and less supportive of them. THEY have decided that WE are their enemy. The police’s mottoes seem to have gone from: To Serve and Protect, to: To Harass and Collect
This could get so ugly, yet I struggle to see how we can resolve the disconnect between those we hire to protect us and ourselves..
