Gee! How far do you have to be from one of those things when it cooks off?
I would think that a tank in modern warfare is outdated and a recipe for certain death. Locate with a drone, and pulverize it with artillery. I would think susceptible to IED type of munitions as well. Disable with IED, pulverize with artillery.
Rinse and repeat.
