I knew of only family (friends of my family) that did that shtick right.
They happened to have a very photogenic baby as a newlywed couple struggling to get started in life. She appeared in ads (paid very well) and won beautiful baby type contests. The parents invested every penny into her college fund, so they were freed from having to put savings aside from Dad’s salary, allowing the wife to be a stay-at-home Mom. When she turned two, they stopped all ad appearances and contests completely, allowing her to grow up as a normal kid.
No student loan debt for her, and she turned out to be happy, healthy, accomplished, happily married, and a great Mom to her three kids now in their teens.
That’s cool. Good to hear a positive story n this.
