Imagine an author creating a documentary on Murder. During the course of his work, he films and witnesses two murders that subsequently went unsolved. The person sits on that incriminating info for a full year and a half while he is editing his masterpiece. Is the author obstructing justice? Withholding evidence? Aiding and abetting? What are we to think about the author's actions? Was it ok to do that? What about the families of the affected victims? Do you think the families will be happy that the author gets his ticket sales, rather than arrests that could have occurred a year and a half ago?
