I think Occam’s Razor applies. Moderna had the MRNA tech laying around for a couple of years and jumped at the chance to make some major scratch off of it while being a hero. Any side effects could be explained away. At least that is what they hoped.
I think you are referring to “Hanlon’s Razor”.
I think Hanlon’s Razor is variable in society and in today’s climate I feel there is plenty of evil as well as stupid.
