No, I’m not for the Russians. This is a civil war. Ukraine has been a nation divided since their democratically elected President was deposed by a coup in 2014. This shouldn’t happen. Democracies only have Revolutions when being overrun by socialists. 3 states seceded immediately in protest. Who will stand up for disenfranchised Ukrainians seeking representation and freedom in their own Republics?

“They were also doing this before the war started”

And therefore? Do you really think America is on the side of Ukraine because it’s some bastion of democracy? It is and should be on the side of Ukraine because Russia’s invasion, by CatherPutin’s own statement, is not going to end there. Her invasion of Ukraine is only the beginning, in order to reestablish the Russian empire of Catherine the Great, and to get some of those nifty embroidered Ukrainian dresses. If she takes Ukraine, CatherPutin The Grate will take the rest of the Balkans and Baltics, including NATO member Romania, and also NATO members Poland, Lithuania and Hungary. She said so. So it ends in Ukraine with Ukrainian victory, and with that the end of CatherPutin The Grate, and all the US has to do is supply Ukraine and provide good intel, no direct involvement. But the US is not doing the most essential thing to end Russia’s campaign, and that is to produce and export gas and oil and put all this green new deal crap on hold until later.

Ukraine’s not a Jeffersonian democracy? We’re in an imperfect world. Ukraine is now more democratic than it had been previously, and they want to move towards stronger connections with Europe, which is a sort of good thing.

You need to head over to the Daily Mail to prove what you say.

“What if you disagree that your Democratically elected candidate was deposed or cheated out of office?”

I feel the same. But I haven’t taken up arms. Not yet anyway.

“Before you get snide…I put my money where my mouth is on the front lines as a warfighter”

So did I, Scooter.

“The right to disagree used to be part of the Constitution.”

Ukraine ain’t America.

Apparently if some of us think Ukraine ought to fight back, and hard, we’re all neocons, NWO and Soros flunkies. That’s BS. Sick of the labels and really sick of conservatives demonizing other conservatives who don’t agree with them.

Clearly, name calling has not been helpful. That said, Sending your sons to fight in a potential Nuclear conflict with the Russians because of a Ukrainian Revolution is certainly your choice. Revolutions are nasty. Especially half the country feels disenfranchised (Russian speaking Ukraine). What infuriate many conservatives about this is that this was so avoidable.

No we get to send our sons to fight a potential nuclear conflict with Russia to save the NWO’s work in Ukraine? Who pays? Us and our kids! Why did we depose President Yanukovich? For Democrat money laundering.

Boy did you step into a rake...

Update (March 23, 2022): In the three days after the law’s adoption on March 4, Russian authorities opened at least 60 cases on the administrative offense of “discrediting Russian armed forces,” the vast majority against peaceful anti-war protesters. By March 23, at least six criminal cases had been opened for “false information” about Russian armed forces’ actions, at least three of which involved aggravated charges. Reports in the media estimate that at least 150 journalists fled Russia within two weeks of the start of this war on February 24.

Update (March 23, 2022): On March 23, Russia’s parliament adopted amendments effectively expanding the ban on criticizing the armed forces to banning criticism of all Russian government actions abroad.

The amendments expand the laws on “false information” and “discreditation” to include government bodies such as the Russian Guard (currently taking part in the hostilities in Ukraine), embassies, consulates, and emergency services. The penalties are similar to those set out in the initial law criminalizing “false information” and “discrediting” the Russian armed forces.

Its funny how Russia is accused of “empire building” when Ukraine was part of Russia for 3+ centuries and is right on Russia’s borders and it merely asked that it not join a foreign military alliance

Meanwhile the US Deep State has travelled 4900 miles from Washington DC to arm Ukraine, train its troops, expand NATO from 12 to 30 countries, meddle in Ukraine politics, conduct coups in Ukraine, take bribes from Ukraine oligarchs, etc...

The hypocrisy is outrageous. Its like the Romans accusing the Picts of “empire building” because they crossed Hadrian’s Wall.

Ukraine was always one of the most corrupt countries in the world - NOT as corrupt as Russia - that’s for sure. But not exactly the hill I want the world to die on.
