Delaware is a very socially insular state.
Some say it has to be that way else Philly would overrun it. But in DE, one is either a DE blue blood, or a transplant with a lot of money / power / influence, or a nobody. Even legendary Jack Nicklaus was a nobody when he visited DE a number of years ago. (He was not allowed to play weekend golf as a member’s guest at the Wilmington CC b/c non-members were not allowed on the course on weekends.)
Xiden from Scranton then transplanted in Claymont is in group 2. Not a blue blood. He moved up from a nobody when enough heathens voted or selected him to office.
I worked at Wilmington CC and went to public school, so you know where I belong.
I think New Castle County has the most private schools per population of any county.
