When I was a kid, I used to wonder why some folks came off their boats wearing cable knit sweaters in summer time!

When people from Texas were coming to visit me in the bay area, I would tell them to bring a warm jacket for SF and the beach. “But its summer!” they would say. I would tell them they needed it. Inevitably if they even brought a jacket, it was a thin one, and ended up buying one, lol.
