The gene is recessive!, so only one in 900 couples will bear children having this gene defect expression.
Every one of us has some LETHAL (recessive) gene defects - but only if we have children with someone else having that exact same defect would our children be affected.
And the particular susceptibility to vaccines described here is not 100% fatal.

Warning about readers leaping to false conclusions should not be described as "smearing." I did not criticize the article for any lack of factuality. My only criticism of the article was that it could have stated the matter a little more clearly. Some less-educated readers could easily be misled.

If you screen the children, you can vaccinate the ones who don’t have the genetic problem.
Knowing this should reduce vaccine hesitancy. If your cousin’s child died after vaccination, you have a valid reason to hesitate. With the test, you have a much easier decision.
I remember my mother recounting having whooping cough as a 7 year old, coughing for weeks to the point of vomiting, difficulty breathing, weight loss, weak for months. I don’t remember mumps as a baby, but my father got it at the same time and he was in agony.
I don’t accept every new vaccine produced and pushed, but I’m all for the old tested ones for the diseases that used to cause major suffering, debility and death. Polio, DPT, MMR, thank God for them and their discoverers. And rabies vaccine.
Your comment was to me and what I did, because your answer was fully in the simple write up you had refused to read, to that point.
I know. And when you think about it, conspiracy is extremely common. It literally happens ALL the time and has since the dawn of mankind.
To think it’s paranoia to suspect people are conspiring is extremely irrational.
You know, “conspiracy theorizing” is actually just critical thinking. Some are better at it than others. The crazy hair guy is given a data set and he concludes the answer is aliens. Another thinker may conclude it is pranksters. One of the two is simply a better critical thinker than the other.
Death is a small price to pay for the peace of mind that comes with vaccination.
The article specifically mentions that threat to Inuits is from the Measles Mumps Rubella vaccine and other live virus vaccines.
None of the Covid vaccines use a live virus.
“and were therefore extremely susceptible to viral infections and vaccines with live viruses such as the MMR vaccine.”
