Watching this video, look closely at Naomi’s eyes and face as she is performing she looks very sad her eyes look very, very sad!! Perhaps all the hoopla coming up was just going to be to much for her!! Very very sad!!
I thought so, too. Through her sweet beauty their was a sadness.
When Wynonna winked at her, something about that exchange broke my heart.
That was a beautiful duet but I think Naomi looked out of it. Like she was there but her heart wasn’t in the performance and Wynona appeared to be trying to will her mother into the performance. I remember when my father was dying and I still hoped that the doctors could heal his infection and he would get stronger. I was trying to will him into wanting to stay with us a little while longer, but his heart wasn’t in it. He was so tired and ready to go be with Mom and his family. Maybe that was how Naomi felt. Just tired of life and exhausted at the idea of going on tour. Prayers for her daughters.
