Fake news, they are hundreds of millions of miles apart! “Appear to touch” would be accurate :)

The article does say exactly what you say, but, if they do touch, it's Russian disinformation, or the Chinese blew a N-bomb close to Venus to send it into Jupiter. It's happened before. ;)
