Russia put a lot of resources in play for Ukraine. Financially, it was a good gamble because of the resources in Ukraine. The problem, honestly, is that Russia went to the well and used the same plans again. They became predictable, not just in objectives, but in tactics. Historically, predictable tactics on the battlefield make it much easier for combatant.
Russia needs to rethink the objectives and tactics. They need to ask, since the cost has gone up, “Is it worth it”.
Putin is in the same spot Hitler was in 1942. He cannot back down as it’d be over for him as it would have been for Hitler.
