One thing I observed is the use of "date". My guess for most college students an alcohol fueled hook up would not qualify as a date. Dating culture has been dead on college campuses for decades. I am not sure if using the description "men have dictated" is correct. Men will do what women will let them get away with. Women set the ground rules.
