Ireland sits on the edge of western edge of the the European Subduction Zone and is subsiding. The sea is not rising, the Eastern edge of Ireland is sinking. FYI the alluvial Eastern edge of Britain is eroding into the North Sea. Stick around 50 million years snd watch it disappear.
There are places like Maine that are still rising 12k years after the glaciers pressed them down for 100k years.
