4/28: America approves a "Lend Lease" program with Ukraine. Ukraine will receive NATO equipment en-masse.
5/12: An artillery barrage from Russian forces in the Ukraine kills 17 Americans, who were sent to train the Ukrainians on our equipment.
5/30: Russians target NATO transports coming from Belarus with effective artillery. 45 dead, 17 trucks destroyed.
6/17: Second attempt by Russia to destroy Belarussian transports. Firefight ensues. Russian and American troops are now in direct conflict. Counter-battery NATO artillery is fired, with shelling occurring directly into Russia.
7/15: Russia stops ALL oil and gas exports.
7/17: America, having already sent 50,000 troops to Belarus and Poland, increases the troop count to 150,000.
7/30: Russia states that, because NATO is sending war material to Ukraine, that any contact with American NATO will result in combat.
8/6: Russian agents assassinate Zelensky.
8/10: Russia commits a full 50 percent of its military to more Ukrainian invasion. Firefights with NATO troops are becoming more common, even in the Ukraine, but mostly on the border with Belarus.
8/15: NATO incursions into Russia are becoming more commonplace, strategic targets are being hit.
8/27: Russia deploys chemical weapons against NATO troops.
9/2: NATO responds in kind.
10/10: NATO forces come into Ukraine in large numbers.
10/17: Russia fires a tactical nuclear weapon at NATO forces, killing and injuring 2302 troops. Within hours, NATO fires a tactical nuke at Russian forces. The number of casualties is unknown.
10/18: American Strategic Nuclear forces are at DEFCON 2, as are Russian ones.
After this, the timeline becomes more unclear. On or about 10/30, there were a series of strategic nuclear exchanges between Russia, America, and China, resulting in approximately 1.5 billion dead and wounded worldwide. EMP has destroyed about a third of the world's electronics. The worldwide economy stops outright. Starvation, residual radiation, and regional conflict claims another 2 billion lives in the next two years.

However, we should not be doing Lend-Lease with them, nor should we let NATO join the fight.

Covid and the mismanagement of Covid killed about 1 million people and severely damaged the economy. It was about the equivalent of one mid-sized city getting nuked.
A limited Nuclear war would be about 20-50 times worse.
A full-scale Nuclear war would destroy Western Civilization and Russia. What is worth that?

You spin a far too realistic narrative for anyone to sleep well. I would only add that I think it will begin with the US pushing Poland to invade and “defend” western Ukraine. At that point Poland can invoke NATO Article 5 collective defense obligations and we are off to the races. The oligarchs around the world will retreat to their doomsday retreats on the southern island of New Zealand and the rest of us will soon die from the radioactive nuclear fallout.

I think what’s actually going to happen is more like this:
SOON _ One major but non-nuclear hit on a major U.S. or European city as a warning shot.
SOON AFTER THAT _ Russians see that they are facing the countdown to oblivion, and while the diplomatic storm rages over the hit, Russian military and political elites remove Putin and announce a cease-fire in Ukraine.
WITHIN THREE MONTHS _ Russian forces retreat in a more or less orderly fashion to Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk. Zelensky negotiates with the new Russian leadership to allow referenda in those three regions in 2023 to decide sovereignty, with international observers.
WITHIN SIX MONTHS _ NATO invites Russia, Belarus and Ukraine to consider joining NATO in 2023 or 2024.
Possible wild card _ return of Christ.

By Belarus, I’m guessing you meant Bulgaria. Belarus is a Russian ally. But still.... so close to something.
Another spooky possibility, Russians are shooting missiles into western Ukraine as close as 10 miles from the Polish border. How long till one goes off course and hits inside NATO? And immediately we hear how Russia has attacked NATO and they get their war finally.

Starvation takes a lot longer than 5 days. Except for the weak and ill, it will takes weeks.
Yes, some people will start dumpster diving within a few days because they have never gone more than part of a day without food and do not know how long they can live.
Personally, I’ve gone 3 weeks on water only. Of course if you are carrying a fairly large food supply around your waist, your body can go longer than very skinny people, small children, or the very ancient.
If Poland -invades- Ukraine, they don’t get to invoke article 5.
