Right after college, my friend had a side job working at a lawyer's office. His boss made him serve some eviction papers. He was kind of shy to do it, so I volunteered to do it. We went to her work, and I came up with a pretence and she came down, and I handed it to her. I did feel kind of bad afterwards, but I really had no knowledge of what was going on.
But I crossed that of my bucket list.
I’ve never done it thankfully.
I also enjoy being a “subject matter expert” because I get paid well, but have zero direct reports.
I don’t want to write yearly reviews, decide on bonuses, or fire people.
I train people and review their work, but it’s always helpful.
