I’ve never served anyone papers. Did YOU decide how it was done, or did the lawyers do it? I wonder why the lawyers just don’t do that stuff?

In my state it is the sheriff’s dept who serves papers and go wherever the attorney tells them.
Most of the time the process servers work for the court, so nothing to do with the plaintiff.
