A traumatized man is being bitten to shreds in his own home by Britain’s most venomous spiders — but no one will help him.
Russell Davies is in so much agony from hundreds of bites all over his body he is sleeping in a tent outside his Southborough flat.
The false widow is said to have a bite as painful as a wasp’s sting and Russell’s body is covered in them. The 55-year-old tenant’s skin is so sore he has been forced to stop working as a chef.

Well, that may be a solution for you, but not me.
My mother was from MN, we went there ever 3 years in my youth. I’ve been to the Dakotas.
Both places are TOO COLD for this old desert dweller to live.

With due respect, if you have a spider infestation,
you have an insect infestation.
Spiders aren’t feasting on dust bunnies or flakes of human skin or food crumbs in the apartment. They’re there to eat the insects.
I agree, bug-bombing the place would work. Maybe they don’t have bug bombs in the UK, tho?
And btw, those do not look like spider bites. At all.
Get that man three ozone generators and turn them on and get out of the home for a day at a Hotel or two.
Vegetarian spiders?
My brother is an expert on pest control. He was telling me this past weekend that glue traps are the ultimate, because spiders are cannibalistic. If one spider gets trapped in the glue, it attracts others like a magnet.
He said to lay the traps out along the baseboard on a wall - maybe under a bed. He told me it will catch spiders in even the newest of homes.
Only 11 years left! Climate change caused! DAMN YOU TRUUUUUMP!
seriously though if the spiders are that bad in the house, is the tent in the yard somehow impervious? Can the tent for inside the house? Did he spray the yard for spiders and every single one of them migrated to the inside?
So many questions. But again, only 11 years left. This is the future of the planet if it ends up by even a single degree.
WD 40 will get them. So will gasoline in a squirt oil can. As will as Easy Off oven cleaner.
“That’s what bug bombs and exterminators are for.
And glue traps!”

Was supposed to be just a label change to allow for outdoor use so Bayer could sell more product.
When Temprid FX came out, it like a light switch was turned off…no targeted kills and especially no collateral kills of non targeted pest.
Best guess was that Bayer out sourced to China for money saving and onto Just In Time shipping which bypassed quality control inspection prior to finale manufacture.
The Bayer rep seemed scared for his job in offering different lot number replacement.
Temprid FX was abandoned by my former employer. The Texas Regional boss told me…”We don’t talk about that”.

Not sure about the UK, but some years back when I used to visit friends in BiH, they always asked me to bring loads of Bug Bombs as they weren’t allowed there.
Not sure if the insecticide or the propellant was the reason they didn’t sell them there.
dude should get a few small monitor lizards and set up a home for them under the fridge ... his flat will be stripped of tiny vermin in no time flat ...

He’s going to have to take the financial loss and find some other place to live. Find a lawyer who may help him get out of any further payments. Before signing any residence contracts, was he told about this pre-existing infestation or was it kept a secret issue, like a house built over thousands of snakes?
He was working as a chef? I doubt if any restaurant wants to look online and see their chef photographed covered in spider bites. Not too good for future sales.
Ugh. Post a warning nxt time!
We live in the Northwest in the middle of a bunch of fir trees and brush in an area where it drizzles most of the year. Insects and spiders love it here. We do use insecticides for specific situations in the garden, etc...
If we bug bombed the house new residents would just move in within a month or two. The interior of our house is made mostly from rough wood and paneling which spiders love. WE are constantly vacuuming down cobwebs. Unfortunately, our precious little wienerdog died a few months ago. Her favorite activity was hunting and eating spiders. She reminded us of the scene from Dracula Dead and Loving It, where Renfield ate a bug and then denied it.
We try to not to worry too much about the spiders and are glad they help keep the insect population under control. But you do need to be conscious of them and take some precautions when you are dragging stuff out of dark corners. A month ago I put on a pair of rubber boots that had spent the last few months in our garage and I stupidly forgot to vacuum them out first.
I am not sure what type of spider's home that I destroyed, but I ended up with three bites in a straight line up the back of my calf. They were a little itchy but not painful. They turned black and had lumps; they scabbed over in a day or two. They resembled the picture on the guy's arm but not as bad.
Fortunately, my wife is a nurse and helped me to take care of them. I washed them off and covered them with antibiotic ointment and Band-Aids to try and keep them from getting infected. A month later I still have red marks and one of them still has a small scab but they are better now. I am glad that they didn't require any further medical attention.
This is not the first time I have had an incident with rubber boots and spiders. I have been bitten before and cannot believe that I forgot to check these out before putting them on. Totally stupid move in our area... Boots stored in our garage fill up with webs almost immediately. Rubber boots apparently make very good homes. I have sucked up some mean looking little dudes in the past along with piles of dead insect bodies that they have left inside.
I am not sure that using bug bombs would take care of this guys problem. He probably needs to just take a vacuum cleaner and give his apartment a good cleaning. He could probably reduce the population a great deal without a lot of effort. That is how we keep our house guests under control.
