I have a beautiful cousin that was 22 and it was May of a recent year and she was attending party after party each night in the run up to her graduation from a major university. She was to graduate in just a few days. They found her dead in her bed in her dorm. She had drowned in her own regurgitation (nicest word I could find).

It wasn’t suicide. I think it might have been “manslaughter” of ones self!

Same thing happened to a cousin of mine. He had been a straight arrow, super physically fit, all-around great kid, but when he barely missed the cut to become a Navy Seal (his big dream from early age), he and some of his buddies who missed out went on a drugs and drink binge that night, and he aspirated on his own vomit sometime during the night after falling into bed. All it took was a one-time bender for a kid who had never been on one before. Such a tragedy and waste, and a terrible grief for family, especially his parents.

As this case was a female, one wonders if something was slipped into her drink *if* drugs were involved. It is not publicized so much here as in the UK, but this is a real and growing problem for our young women. No, I am not not saying this was the cause, only that if drugs were involved, something to be looked into.

***We have no idea what caused her death.***

My prayers for her family. They must be devastated. There is nothing like a parent’s grief. Let us all try to be respectful of that.
