Well, I suppose if you know you are overpaid, and you expect to be fired soon, one would shed a tear or two.
Either that, or buck up and work to prove your competence and value to the Company (or to another Company). Sounds like she took the wallowing in self-pity route.

I guess I can also understand, given that she's been there since 2011, that she knows many of her cohorts will be moving on (or getting their walking papers), and perhaps she was shedding tears knowing that her Company 'life' was going to be uprooted soon. Welcome to Company 'life'. Layoffs happen, and uprooting happens. Just continue to work your best, and do your best to improve the quality of your work. The Lord has given us work, and we work to please Him. So buck up.
