Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs, released information about the complete failure of Russia's recruitment of mercenaries for the war in Ukraine.
Gerashchenko noted: "Inside. Potential mercenaries refuse to fight for Putin's interests in Ukraine.
Knowing the extreme unpopularity of the "special operation", Putin decided not to do mass mobilization yet, but to start recruiting mercenaries.
And not in Russia, but in Abkhazia, Transnistria, South Ossetia. That is, where there is no pity for the "meat".
According to intelligence information, Transnistria was given a plan - 15,000 mercenaries at a price of 100,000 rubles per month, or a little over 1,000 dollars.
As a result, two potential mercenaries came to the military registration offices in Tiraspol and other cities, and then they refused.
No one wants to die in Ukraine and become fertilizer for our black soil. If no one wants to fight for Putin for money, then no one who can be mobilized in Russia as "free meat" will want to fight.
Recruiting problems for the Waffen SS?
BadVlad will have to raise the pay....
Regardless of how reliable this particular article is, it stands to reason that Russia is going to have a difficult time recruiting a significant number of decent mercenaries. Ukraine has turned out to be a bloody war, and you’re going to have to pay decent mercs a lot of money to walk into a meatgrinder to act as line troops.
Hi.
I take all articles out of a theater of war with a grain of salt.
However, if I’m a soldier of fortune (mercenary), and I can see what is happening in the AO for two months, I wouldn’t go near the Russian army for work.
Imho.
5.56mm
Well the population of potential mercenaries has access to western media. They see that it wouldn’t be all fun and games.
BadVlad will have to raise the pay....
Vlad can't guarantee 72 virgins.

“Students of the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy (St. Petersburg), who are undergoing internships in Libya, may soon join the occupation army.
This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, informs Censor.NET.
It is noted that the command of the academy is taking measures to return students to the territory of the Russian Federation and involve them in hostilities against Ukraine.
“Also the Russians are also looking for servicemen who can agree to take part in the armed aggression on the territory of Ukraine. To this end, they are even reducing the composition of the Russian group in the Syrian Arab Republic. In recent days, organizational and staffing changes have been made in this group. As a result, 200 positions in the Aleppo tactical group have been cut,” the intelligence service said.
It is expected that after the return of the reduced troops, they will be immediately sent to the areas of hostilities.
“In general, the Russian military command is showing considerable interest in the servicemen who took part in the fighting in Syria and Chechnya. Currently, measures are being taken to involve them in the occupation army.
The main regions where the mobilization campaign: Krasnodar Territory, Perm Krai, the Republic of Dagestan, Ingushetia, and Kalmykia. These actions are accompanied by a powerful propaganda campaign against the “Nazi/punitive” regime in Ukraine. Also important is the material and financial aspect, which in the context of restrictive sanctions against the United States and Western countries is tangible for the population of Russia.
The information is confirmed that the participants of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine are additionally motivated by the opportunity to improve their financial situation at the expense of “trophies”, - summed up by Intelligence.”
Maybe they ought to try recruiting some Putin keyboard warriors on FR
There seems to be a problem with organized crime and recruit raping, with the Russian troops.
—”a difficult time recruiting a significant number of decent mercenaries”
A close friend and business partner, U of I grad, former 5TH SFG RVN...

A long time later a call from my friend, he was recovering in a VA hospital!
Asked what happened? He replied good help is hard to get.
He also said the feds knew where he had been/ what he had been doing and had interviewed him.
Hmmm
Have you ever been to Moscow, seen the women on the street?!
But you’re probably still right...they ain’t virgins
The one that gets me are all of the Chechen fighters that are fighting with and for the Russians, after all those years of fierce resistance to a Russian takeover of Chechnya.
That’s because you know zero of what actually went on there.
“The one that gets me are all of the Chechen fighters that are fighting with and for the Russians, after all those years of fierce resistance to a Russian takeover of Chechnya.”
Nah, those guys work for a different arm of the Russian government, so I think they are exempt from being recruited.
“...it stands to reason that Russia is going to have a difficult time recruiting a significant number of decent mercenaries.”
Wagner Group is not the only PMC Russia employs. There are many, but Wagner gets the publicity. And Russia has already got manpower they can ship in with other PMC’s to use with groups like Vegacy, E.N.O.T., Rusich, Vostok Battalion, and Wagner groups in Bosnia and the Eastern Ukraine in Luhansk. And this isn’t all of them.
Putin has a variety of groups to call on that are already under contract. The spook world is full of them for a price. And a lot of them have already settled on that.

Good news!
It is easy to volunteer for an army in peaceful times.
A lot harder, if there is a good chance you will get hurt!
In war time, you need to motivate people to participate.
Tsar Vlad obviously had hard time with that.
Have you ever been to Moscow, seen the women on the street?!
But you’re probably still right...they ain’t virgins
I've never been to Moscow, but I've been to Kyiv and Odessa. My wife is from Odessa
Aren’t most of those already committed?
