palm springs has plenty of water

they are at the base of a mountain range and get all of the runoff from melted snow

i was there and commented how everyone was constantly watering their lawns

that was the response

It is no where enough to supply the true demand. All of Coachella Valley receives water from the Colorado river as a primary source.
