Item #2 on a new R House majority should be taking back their city. Compress federal control to include the federal buildings surrounding the mall. Retrocede everything else back to Maryland and give them one more democrat House member. Eliminate the democrat impulse to create a state.
DC should be a MD city. Outside the Fed enclave there is nothing that is critical to the Fed government.
