Interesting point. DeSantis is, of course a far smarter and more loyal person than Pants was.
You think Trump should run again? Or leave the field to DeSantis?
If I had the opportunity to give advice, I would give it to DeSantis, not Trump.
Not because I don't like Trump - I do - but Trump doesn't seem to take advice. DeSantis has the temperament to consider counsel if it is good counsel.
If DeSantis was on a winning ticket with Trump, he would be clawed up over the next four years. Don't ask me why, it just seems to happen to Trump reports.
DeSantis should let Trump do what he is going to do anyway, which is run for president if his health holds up.
DeSantis should continue to be the govnur of the nation's third largest state; and the smartest govnur of all 50 states.
He has already shown he can influence national policy; he just knocked Disney in the head so hard that their 38 or 39 lobbyists in Tallahassee can't even get chamber of commerce rinos in the legislature to return their calls.
My advice to DeSantis: send word to the Republican legislative caucus that all of them, one by one, are to announce they will no longer accept Disney campaign donations during the next election cycle, if ever.
It doesn't matter Disney has threatened to end campaign contributions in Florida. Republicans should develop and drive the narrative that refusing corrupt Disney money is the new cultural norm: “We don't want your toxic money.”
Let other big-time woke CEO's ponder how the beloved plastic rat lost over 50 years of legislative goodwill in just over three weeks.
Think what it would be like if 10 or 15 Republican governors grew a spine.
Think what it would be like if 10 or 15 U.S. Republican senators grew a spine.
