I don't agree with you there. While the chances were probably remote, the plane could well have crashed into somebody's property or even injured or killed somebody on the ground. Dumping a plane on purpose in order to apparently generate a viral YouTube video is a reckless and inconsiderate act.

Also, who is going to go pick up all the pieces of the crashed plane?

Loss of license and a stiff fine seem appropriate here. Also, he should be made responsible to recover and dispose of the crashed plane at his own expense.

Don’t get me wrong, that guy is an absolute idiot. There are so many things that could have gone wrong, not the least of which is killing someone.

Lets just say that I lack any sort of trust where the government is involved, and think they should bother us less and not more.
