PORTLAND, Ore. — President Joe Biden is making his first visit to the Pacific Northwest since his election, arriving in Portland on Thursday afternoon where he’s expected to talk about the impacts of his infrastructure spending bill.
The president left Joint Base Andrews on Thursday morning and is expected to arrive at PDX at 12:40 p.m. Thursday.
Governor Kate Brown, senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, and Congressman Kurt Schraeder will meet with Biden at PDX.
The president is expected to speak at 2:10 p.m.
At about 3:30 p.m., Biden will participate in a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee at the Portland Yacht Club - a short distance from the airport up Marine Drive.
He will return to the airport by 4:25 p.m. to depart for Seattle.
