Ode to the false god Krishna.
What’s worse, this or “ Imagine”?

Depends if atheism or paganism is worse.
The music is better in George’s, but it was a rip-off of “He’s so Fine.”

I would say “Imagine” is worse. It’s the Communist Manifesto set to music.

Yes, I grew up listening to this crap song. It was always playing on the radio.
You couldn’t get away from it.

You can drop the Hare Krishna parts without messing up the rest of the song. A lot of folks listened to the song (including me at 9 years old) not even making out the back-up vocals. Imagine is wall to wall bad.
On the other hand, I remember hearing a Hare-Krishna-less version used as a recessional hymn in a Catholic Church in the '70s. It would be hard to pull that with "Imagine". The theology of the rest of the song is a combination of vapid and incorrect in terms of theology.
I recommend flipping the record and playing "Apple Scruffs" instead.
