Two things, I similarly watched them on a B&W TV. It’s something only people our age can relate to, it was a phenomenon that is difficult to explain to others.
I feel the same having watched Tiger play golf from his first tournament to today, literally witnessing a historical figure grow, whether music or sports. Same for listening to RUSH from 1990 on.
As for George’s talent, and the # of songs, I too heard that. Not sure if it was because they weren’t good enough or what, so I’ll have to do more research.
Well, Isn't It A Pity from his album, All Things Must Pass was a hit. I always thought it was about a man and a woman and breaking up a relationship; but, after reading that book, I began to wonder if it was not actualy about the break-up of The Beatles.
