I wonder if all the armchair detectives here will express regret for having leaped to the totally unwarranted assertion that the victim’s 13-year-old son killed his mom.

left adoring comments on her Facebook page telling her she was the most beautiful woman and had the 'look of love', two years before allegedly stabbing her in a frenzy in her basement. One would think the husband would have asked his wife about these posts and who this guy was.

My ‘take’ from the beginning is 1. He was upstairs with headphones and didn’t hear a thing
2...she was brutally killed but opted for the basement to protect her son
Her son was clueless

I wasn't one of those who speculated about suspects, but I also think that speculation on some forum on the internet that isn't in any way tied to the victim, speculated-suspect, or their families, isn't hurtful and doesn't require expressions of great regret either.
I just wanted to post the picture for those who don't want to click the link because that's one of their tease/hooks;

He was picked up thanks to a pair of blood-soaked boots left at Gaal’s stately Forest Hills home after she was stabbed nearly 60 times in the early hours Saturday,
sources said. ----------
It is believed that the pair were romantically involved at some time. Facebook posts from May 2020 show a period of around ten days during which they flirted in the comments section of her images.
The posts were just two weeks before Gaal's husband reported her missing briefly on May 29, 2020 and are also around the same time she was learning to speak Spanish.
-------

Someone was right.

The son theory was difficult because the amount of blood would've led detectives right to him. I think a lot of the suspicion initially pointed to the son because of the body being dragged away in the duffel bag. Very strange, indeed.

What’s his immigration status?

Yeah, I'll go hang myself over the shame of making a wrong guess.That isn't the point and you know it. Having some regret for libeling a kid is reasonable and a far cry from your melodramatic sarcasm.

Well....apart from theorizing she had a crazed extramarital lover, ...what else ya gonna say? No one mentioned the blood stained boots. The husband or children supposedly didn’t behave particularly bereaved. Maybe she had more than one lover and was a nymphomaniac and husband is glad to get rid of her....lot’s of armchair stuff to do. Maybe all guesses should be prefixed and suffixed with the “IMHO” tetragrammaton.... IMHO....
