There is a need to end this conflict. Europe has a bloody history. The only 'peaceful' period was the Cold War(1945-1989) for which Europe can thank the US. Now it's back to it's old historical ways. A neutral arbitrator is necessary as the UN has proven once again it's ineffectiveness. The stakes are high.
It starts with him putting it out there. The current administration would be on the defensive big time but what are the alternatives? A weak POTUS who will never be compared to JFK(Cuba). More likely we're on a slippery slope to WW3 as Europe cannot manage it's affairs.
The media will not allow it. The American press will accuse him of favoring Putin no matter what he says.
They’d rather every person in the region die.
That’s Jesse Jackson’s job.
Either way, after this is done, the billionaires will be buying up land on the Ukraine war zones, especially the coast.
Granted-Biden will look small and it will expose more his Ukraine/Russia/China dealings. It’s something they just can’t allow but it would be appropriate. All Americans are aware of the conflict even if they can’t find Ukraine on a map.
As the war goes on the exhaustion element will affect both sides. As people get tired of all the killing there is an opportunity to end it. It might be the only one. The whole world can see the damage. Trump is a world leader even if the Nobel Peace Committee will not acknowledge it.
Doable? Think Carter and Camp David. That history was just as long.
It’s the Art Of The Deal my friends. Everyone in the world knows of his skill. The stakes are too high.
Well said and valid points.
If he has no authority, he has no ability to negotiate.
If people are getting killed on both sides they’ll give it to him. He wouldn’t be negotiating on behalf of the US.
If anyone can find a way, Trump can.
But personally, I don’t think anyone can.
This is a land grab by Putin.
Putin is not going to willingly go away empty handed, unless he is flat out defeated.
And Ukraine does not want to give up land, and I don’t blame them.

Not some global policeman.
Never going to happen. This is the Deestate’s war and they intend to keep it.
It would certainly be in the best interest of all involved to have a real leader step forward with the ability to make a deal on a ceasefire.
Do you mean he should pull a Jimmah Cahtah (ala North Korea nuke talks) and insert himself into situation?
Putin may need Trump as the costs go up. Time may not be on his side. Finland and Sweden flirting with NATO membership suggests Putin miscalculated. A 2-3 day takeover didn’t materialize.
Forget what Trump is saying publicly he has reportedly talked with Putin three times in the past few months. Trump totally understands what Putin is doing in the Ukraine. And it wouldn’t surprise me if he did get involved in the surrender/peace agreement.
Keep in mind that the whole time Trump was President the RATs, including Obama, were jetting all over the world conducting foreign affairs behind Trump’s back.
This would be a good thing but it won’t happen because he would be treated as a Russian spy by the same people who have been ruining and selling the US to enemies for a long time.
Just look how it is here. A reasonable person who wants this to end and isn’t rooting for war is treated like they love Putin instead of people wanting the US Biden Admim to cut out pimping and propping up this war.
Not sure if true but somebody who was at the Trump and Putin meeting said it went like this.
Trump: If you bomb Ukraine Ill bomb Moscow
Putin: Bullshit
Trump: Try me
It sounds like his trade mark in deals.
It is illegal for a private citizen to do that if I remember right, and he wouldn’t get a pass like John Kerry.
Yea, that was a great deal he got with North Korea wasn’t it? No? Yea, no deal.
And with Iran? He quit that deal.
It does not take an arbiter. It takes demands from one side that can be accepted by the other side. That does not seem possible in the Putin-Ukraine situation.
