If the computer is different from the one that was used in setting up the account, the MAC addresses won’t match.

Of course, but, I was thinking about the original computer. Should'a been clearer, I guess.

The next question would be; if using a VPN to mask your IP, can they still get access to the MAC addresses of your hardware?
