There is no restrained way to fight a war.
American bombers firebombed Tokyo.
American bombers firebombed Dresden Germany.
American bombers dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Those bombings killed thousands of civilians.
Nobody can trust the true telling about events on the ground in Ukraine.
Americans should have stayed the hell out of Ukraine. Americans should never have set up bioweapons labs in Ukraine using American taxpayer money via the Pentagon.
American crooked politicians should never have robbed the people of Ukraine of their billions in energy resource income that disappeared into bank accounts across the globe held by the the Clintons, Bidens and a host of others (including Republicans).
Putin is a rat but there are a host of Ukrainian and American rats also behind this exploitation of Ukraine’s situation.
Or, they’ve grown accustomed to a century worth of Russia and it’s proxies lying their asses off and aren’t playing cognitive dissonance.

Not true. Most of the pre-war predictions - including by the vaunted Douglas MacGregor - had this war being over in a few days. The expectation was that Ukraine east of the Dnieper would welcome their Russian liberators, the Ukrainian army would collapse, and that would be it. No long war - just a quick, relatively painless Russian victory. That was the expectation.

And, the reason it isn’t is that Russia is a more corrupt and dysfunctional nation than Ukraine.
