Republicans are incredibly stupid about this sort of thing, which is why nothing ever sticks to the Democrats.
We've been yip-yip-yapping about this stupid laptop for weeks now. All this does is give the Democrats the opportunity to declare it "old news" even if it does ever come out into the public domain. And there's no way it can possibly live up to the hype now. The rumor mill practically has Hunter having sex with small children. Anything less than that is going to fall flat and get declared a "nothingburger".
The Democrats almost knocked Trump out of the 2016 race by simply dropping the infamous "Hollywood Access" tape in a Friday afternoon news cycle right before the final debate with no warning whatsoever. They didn't chortle "Wait 'til you see what we got on Trump" for weeks on end. They just put it out there and the shock value was so great that many of Trump's staunchest supporters were ready to jump ship over that weekend.

Exactly stop talking about the laptop and release it. Then talk, talk, talk away. Some of the contents have been leaked since October 2020, but no mainstream media outlets covered it.

Gates put a copy of the hard drive into the congressional record. Of Course she knows everything she’s wanted to know about it. The part that’s amazing, as she comments, is how and why so many people don’t want to know? A simple question should be asked of every congress person: did you read it? If not, why?
These folks should just shut up and release the thing. Stop talking about it. Start doing something.
