My pastor put it bluntly at the service yesterday. Has any other historical occurrence ever convinced so many people to believe and had the staying power of 2000 years, like it happened yesterday? Has any book been around 2000 years and still published today? The Bible has given me so much joy, sadness, elation, and knowledge I read it every day for inspiration.

Yes, there are other "revealed faiths" with various "holy scriptures" purporting to describe alleged historical occurrences that predate the events described in the New Testament.

And yes, there are also other "holy texts" far older than the Christian Bible that are still published today: E.g., Vedas, the Upanishads, the Purānas, the Mahābhārata, the Rāmāyana, and the Āgamas.

To put it bluntly: Only an ignoramus would assert otherwise.
